If you've read through enough deviantART comments, then you've probably seen all the proud Christians. They are easily identifiable by their varied exclamations of "Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior!" and "I believe in Jesus Christ, and I'm not afraid to admit it! Copy and paste this into your signature if you agree!" They must be pretty damn proud.

But proud of what, exactly?

Is it that they can reconcile their own morality with a God they cannot prove to anyone else?

Do they, perhaps, take pride in their ability to take supernatural claims at face value?

Or does their pride lie in their faith? Their ability to accept things as truth without the supporting evidence? Despite all the counter-evidence?

Maybe the fact that they've relinquished their ability to think critically or listen to reason?

Are they proud of the fact that they allow a belief system to govern their opinions and the way they think about certain issues?

Or maybe they're proud of themselves, because they're going to be rewarded in the afterlife with eternal bliss simply for believing in God, while all the non-believers are sent to eternal agony.

Or is it all of the above?

If it's none of that, then what is there to be proud of as a Christian? Explain to me, what could I possibly take pride in as a Christian. What do I have to gain from worshipping a monster in the sky that I can't prove the existence of and that totally contradicts all basic senses of logic and reason and what we've observed in nature?
If any Christian happens to read this, explain what you are proud of. Oh, and have it be reasonable. Please. I've had enough idiocy from my family...

Why bother shoving atheism down our throats?
